Charter Challenge for Fair Voting

Will Canada’s first-past-the-post voting system stand up in Court? 

Since the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms was established in the 1980s, the courts have been ruling in favour of fair and equal representation in Canadian and provincial elections. SPRINGTIDE recently began a collaboration with Fair Voting BC in an initiative they launched to challenge Canada’s discriminatory voting system in the courts.
