Sharon Davis-Murdoch recently retired from the Nova Scotia Department of Health where she worked as a health policy advisor on Diversity and Social Inclusion issues. In this presentation from the LocalDecisions.ca campaign school in Truro, she speaks to the importance of acknowledging and welcoming the diversity in Nova Scotia’s communities. She reviews the history of marginalized groups in Nova Scotia, and offers suggestions for how those seeking public office can more effectively serve those individuals in the future.
