Strategies, Stories and Skills for Candidates and Campaigners – FEBRUARY 9, 2019

Join Springtide and Elections Canada to learn about running a campaign for Parliament. Connect with experienced campaigners, and others considering being candidates or campaign workers in the 2019 election.

This is a free event, but space is limited, so participants must register in advance to reserve their place.

Who this workshop is for:

This workshop is for anyone who is interested in attending. The workshop is ideal for:

  • those considering running for office in the 2019 federal election,
  • those considering working on or managing a campaign for the first time,
  • community leaders and engaged citizens interested in supporting new candidates in their communities

This event is a non-partisan workshop and is open to all.

What to expect:

This full-day workshop will feature a mix of engaging presentations, a panel discussion and breakout sessions with experienced campaigners. Areas covered will include:

  • How to run a competitive campaign (presentation)
  • Strategies and tools for engaging non-voters (presentation)
  • Insights and reflections from experienced candidates and campaigners (panel discussion)
  • Breakout sessions on specific campaign skills and interest areas

Event Hosts: This event is presented in partnership by Elections Canada and Springtide.

Food and Drink: Light refreshments and snacks will be provided. A light lunch will also be served.

Accessibility: This event is being held in an accessible, barrier-free space with accessible washrooms.
